Rajshahi Regional Information Office, the field level publicity organization of the Press Information Department (PID) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, publishes and distributes information in the form of Handouts for the benefit of the people and the state, including government activities, policies, decisions, development plans, etc. At the same time, issues related to public importance published in the media are distributed in the form of Pretrend (news trends) and Press Clippings (cut outs of important news on newspapers) to the relevant departments in order to make the government aware. Publishes special articles and features to create mass awareness on various issues and inform people about government development work. Conducts internal official work including two press conferences a year with journalists. Besides, it works jointly with law enforcement agencies for special security of journalists for press coverage of events organized on the occasion of the arrival of His Excellency the President, Honorable Prime Minister and foreign VVIPs.
