Rajshahi Regional Information Office under the Press Information Department (PID) which is a department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The office is better known as Rajshahi PID to media persons. It directly controlled by the Press Information Department (PID). The activities of this office started on 17 June 1982. There are 35 sanctioned posts in the organizational structure of this office. The title of Head of Office is Deputy Principle Information Officer which is the same grade as the Director rank. There are also 4 more posts of Information Cadre and 3 Class II Officers. There are 27 posts of employees in various posts. Initially, the office started on a small scale, but now the office is providing services in a very efficient and beautiful manner at the fastest time using modern technology. The main responsibility of this office is news coverage of important government activities and VVIPs, photo coverage, feature writing, paper clippings and sending press trends.
